The Nippon Maru II was completed in 1984 as a replacement for the original Nippon Maru, due to its aging.
It is a training sailing ship equipped with living quarters and educational facilities for a capacity of 190 passengers.
With an overall length of 110m and a cruising speed of 13 knots, it is one of the world's largest and fastest sailing ships.
The kit depicts the ship at anchor, composed primarily of high-precision laser-cut wooden parts, as well as metal etched and soft metal components.
The hull has a stable box structure and framework. The forward bridge is made of metal parts, allowing for precise reproduction.
