How to Season (Pre-Use Conditioning) 1. Wash with dish soap and wipe dry thoroughly. 2. Place on the stove and heat over medium heat or lower until white smoke appears. *This will cause the skillet to cook empty and become very hot, so do not leave it unattended and take great care to avoid burns. *If you are using a gas stove with an Si sensor, the flame may become smaller or go out during cooking. We recommend using a portable stove. *Even if you are not sure whether white smoke appears, continue to cook for about 5 minutes. 3. Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. While the skillet is still warm, coat the entire surface with olive oil or other vegetable oil. *This skillet will be hot, so take great care to avoid burns.

《Characteristics of Iron Products》 - Due to its good thermal conductivity, heating over high heat may cause it to burn. - When cooking ingredients with strong astringencies, such as burdock, lotus root, or eggplant, the food may turn black. This is due to the astringency of the ingredients and the iron in the frying pan and is completely harmless to the body, so please do not worry. ・When cooking highly acidic ingredients such as tomato sauce or jam, the surface may turn whitish due to the acid, and the food may taste iron-rich. This has no effect on the body, but it may rust more easily, so please store it with oil.

If you wash the skillet with detergent or if the oil on the surface is removed by the acid, it will rust more easily, so please re-season it.
