The APO-LANTHAR 50mm F2 Aspherical is a high-performance standard lens for Nikon Z-mount full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless cameras, newly designed based on the Sony E-mount lens originally introduced as Voigtländer's highest-performance standard lens to date. Its apochromatic design minimizes axial chromatic aberration in the three primary colors of light, achieving performance that completely changes the perception of a standard lens. Its sleek design also ensures high mobility and easy handling.
This extremely high-performance manual focus standard lens covers a full-frame image circle. Its 10-element, 8-group construction includes five anomalous partial dispersion glass elements and two double-sided aspherical elements, and it also incorporates a floating mechanism. It boasts performance that will completely change the perception of a familiar 50mm f/2 standard lens.
These lenses feature an optical design optimized for the image sensors of mirrorless cameras that use the Nikon Z mount. Both lenses are equipped with electronic contacts, enabling electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of an electrical communication-enabled body and the latest firmware supports Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3-axis), and three types of focusing support functions.
