The NOKTON 40mm F1.2 Aspherical is a large-aperture manual focus lens exclusively for the Nikon Z mount. It covers a full-size image circle and its optical design is optimized for the image sensor of Nikon Z system cameras.
This lens is equipped with electronic contacts, enabling electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of an electrical communication-compatible body and the latest firmware enables support for Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3-axis), and three focusing support functions (focusing by changing the focus point frame color, focusing by the peaking function, and focusing using the magnification button).
The lens construction is comprised of eight elements in six groups, two of which are double-sided aspherical. Despite its compact size, this full-frame 40mm lens boasts an astonishingly large F1.2 aperture. Enjoy reliable optical performance even at wide open apertures, as well as smooth, dramatic bokeh. The 40mm focal length is equivalent to a 60mm angle of view on an APS-C camera, making it highly versatile and usable as a standard lens on both full-frame and APS-C cameras. A dedicated, all-metal, straight-type screw-in hood is included.
