A Parting Gift To His Hometown: The Biography of Kazuo Inamori

Kazuo Inamori grew Kyocera from a small factory into a global corporation, and continues to attract many people even after his death as a businessman and educator. This book includes a serial project in which 29 people with ties to Kagoshima talk about the words he poured into his hometown and his true character, as well as interviews with Inamori himself, and memories and anecdotes from Uehara Masanori (former vice chairman of Shiroyama Kanko) and Ito Kensuke (former chairman of Kyocera), who were close friends with Inamori. It also includes transcripts of lectures used in classes at Kagoshima University and the teachings of Saigo Takamori, which Inamori put into practice, to learn about Inamori's way of life, ideas, and management philosophy.
