Compose, arrange, and live support for numerous artists. While continuing to be active in many fields, Wakui Sara is a musician who constantly presents her own works and is attracting attention for her overwhelming music quality and performance. The third solo project album “The Little Cycle,” which can be said to be the culmination of that, has finally been released. Using the ironclad ensemble cultivated through recordings and tours as weapons, a total of 12 songs featuring guitars and singers, centered around a piano trio, were recorded. The participating members are Tomoki Ishii on guitar, Yoshiteru Takahashi on bass, and Shunsuke Uehara on drums. Furthermore, singers Mimiko and Inaizumi Rin have joined, and the energy and sense of unity nurtured during live performances lives on in the work. The recorded songs are diverse, and make you feel Wakui's wide range of musicality, such as the up-tempo dance tune “Patterns,” the progressive number “Little Cycle,” which is also the title song, and “QREA,” where the duo with Uehara Shunsuke shines. Violinist Suhara An participated in “Terracotta,” which marks the end of the album. The beautiful melodies and rich strings leave a deep afterglow.
