Makoto Takahashi
Born in Osaka in 1934. After making her debut as a rental manga artist, she published color serials such as "Beyond the Storm" in the magazine "Shojo." Since then, she has drawn covers, frontispieces, and illustrations for girls' manga magazines such as Nakayoshi and Margaret, as well as numerous illustrations of girls for stationery such as sketchbooks and pencil cases. From 1992 to the present, she has regularly held solo exhibitions of new works and has been actively presenting her work. Her publications include "Romantic Otome Style" and "Dreaming Girls" (both published by Pie International), "Makoto's Aesthetics" and "Akogare: Takahashi Makoto Art Collection" (both published by Fukankan.com), "Takahashi Makoto's Girls' Coloring Book: Princesses of the World" and "Takahashi Makoto's Girls' Coloring Book: Princesses of Japan" (both published by Kodansha).
