The PSA 2.0 is a pedal version of the SansAmp PSA-1 and PSA-1.1, which were released in rackmount format in 1993 and quickly became studio staples. The 100% analog signal path delivers a punchy, responsive, and organic sound, bringing out the best in any instrument. While maintaining its simple operation, essential features, and dizzying versatility, only the programming and memory sections are digitalized. In the studio, it can be used for direct recording, enhancing existing tracks during mixdown, and adding interesting touches to any instrument. In live performance, it can be used as a preamp for connecting directly to a power amp with a guitar or bass speaker cabinet, as a "monster direct box" for connecting to a P.A. system (or both simultaneously), or as an outboard processor. It features a Performance mode, allowing it to be used as a three-channel stompbox. 128 memory locations make it easy to store and recall programs. And thanks to its all-analog circuitry, it boasts zero latency. ●100% analog signal path ●Digital programmability ●Performance mode for instant access to three frequently used presets ●Buzz, Punch, Crunch, and Drive tone options ●Gain for various flavors of overdrive ●Dual-band active EQ with ±18dB cut or boost ●Global trim control for adjusting the level of all presets ●MIDI functionality for program recall and program data storage ●Special page function ●1/4-inch 1 megohm input ●1/4-inch low-impedance output ●Speaker-simulated defeat switch ●Rugged all-metal housing ●Metal footswitch and jack ●Quiet switch and custom footswitch actuator
