Product Description
Need a compact, powerful motor driver for your smart car or robot? This Mini L298N motor driver is the answer. Based on the MX1508 chip, it features dual H‑bridges to drive two DC motors or one stepper motor. Supports PWM speed control and forward/reverse direction. Wide 2-10V input makes it perfect for battery‑powered projects. Built‑in thermal protection ensures safe operation even during motor stalls. Small footprint, easy to integrate into any DIY build.
Quick Start Guide & Important Tips
What You Get & What You Need
This board does: Drives two DC motors (forward/reverse/PWM) or one stepper motor
This board is NOT: For high‑power motors (>1.5A continuous), nor isolated signal module
You will need: Microcontroller (Arduino/Raspberry Pi/etc.), jumper wires, 2-10V power supply (battery), motors
New to this? Check our Wire Kit – includes female‑to‑female jumper wires
Wiring in 3 Steps
1.Power: VCC → 2-10V positive, GND → negative (CAUTION: Reversing polarity will instantly destroy the module!)
2.Motors: OUT1/OUT2 → Motor A, OUT3/OUT4 → Motor B
3.Control Signals: IN1/IN2 → MCU digital pins (Motor A), IN3/IN4 → MCU digital pins (Motor B), ENA/ENB → PWM pins (speed control)
️ Note: Signal input voltage 1.8-7V – directly compatible with Arduino 5V. Input pins floating will not cause false triggering.
Common Questions
Motor not running?
Check power supply (2-10V) and wiring. Try setting IN1 HIGH, IN2 LOW – the motor should rotate forward.
Motor runs slow or weak?
Check if power supply voltage is adequate or current is insufficient. Continuous current is 1.5A – reduce load if motor draws more.
Module gets hot?
Normal operation runs cool. If hot, check for output short circuit, motor stall, or input voltage >10V. Thermal protection will pause output until temperature drops.
