Room acoustics significantly impact how comfortable we feel in a particular space. A space with poor acoustics makes speech incomprehensible and burdens the speaker when voices become distorted and echoey.
Rooms with poor acoustics make conversation difficult; this is especially noticeable in crowded public spaces like restaurants. This effect is multiplied when everyone tries to speak louder, resulting in excessive noise, which can lead to fatigue, headaches, and a generally unsatisfactory experience.
The same applies to music performed in inadequate acoustic spaces. A similar situation occurs at home, where a poorly prepared space produces undesirable results. No matter how much we spend on electronics and speakers, if a room has poor acoustics, the resulting sound will ultimately be disappointing.
AQ has long been producing exceptional loudspeakers and has always been committed to meeting the need for excellent room acoustics. Based on over 25 years of experience, the "AQ Soundpanel" acoustic panels have been manufactured.
A simplified method of installing acoustic panels has been developed with the customer's own assembly in mind. The AQ Soundpanel is designed as a separate panel with overall dimensions of 600 mm x 600 mm.
To achieve maximum results and coverage of problem areas, three basic elements have been combined:
1. The entire panel is designed as a damping resonance panel, where its properties manifest themselves primarily in lower frequencies - around 570 Hz.
2. The front panel features a series of acoustic damping holes, the interior is covered with acoustic fabric and filled with wool. The extended frequency range is from 4250 Hz to 17 kHz.
3. The trapezoidal shape allows for multi-plane installation and is designed to dampen the formation of standing waves on parallel surfaces in the room.
The panels can be applied to walls and ceilings. Suitable applications do not require covering the entire wall. Depending on the initial acoustics of the room, panels can be added as needed, creating visual decorative patterns.
The panel is self-supporting, and the mounting holes on the back allow for quick and easy installation in the room.
