XXS nano-roots for the smallest aquariums. Recommended for 10l, 15l, and 20l tanks.
What is mangrove root? We often hear this term referring to various pieces of wood like the one in this listing. However, it's worth knowing that classic driftwood isn't always part of the root. It's generally a collection of wooden elements that have eroded in water over the years, changing their color, but most importantly their shape and structure.
These unique driftwood roots have been naturally shaped by the process of water erosion, which smoothed and molded them into their current, unique shapes. Erosion gives them an authentic texture and appearance that perfectly reflects the true beauty of nature.
Where does Philippines Classic Driftwood come from?
As you might have guessed, our driftwood roots have been carefully collected mainly from rivers and lakes in the Philippines, but also from nearby countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.
Does it change pH?
Yes, the roots have been prepared to retain their natural ability to lower water pH, which is a great remedy for excessively high pH, which often occurs in aquariums. Perfect for planted aquariums, where the pH should be below neutral.
Is your water pH appropriate? No problem! Place the root in water for a few to a dozen days and change the water frequently, and you will eliminate its water-softening properties.
The root is a natural product. We ship roots randomly. Each one is selected and trimmed by hand. Shapes and colors may vary slightly.
