HP Inc. (until November 1, 2015: Hewlett-Packard Company) is an American information technology company headquartered in Palo Alto, California, founded in 1939. In 2010, it was the world's second-largest IT company by revenue.

It produces personal computers, servers, printers, and printing equipment, among other products, and provides IT services. In 2002, the company acquired competitor Compaq Computer. Hewlett-Packard primarily produces printers, scanners, digital cameras, PDAs, servers, workstation computers, and computers for home and small businesses.

Many of HP's personal and notebook computers come from the production lines of Compaq, which merged with Hewlett-Packard in 2002. In 2015, Hewlett-Packard (HP) was divided into two independent companies – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and HP Inc.

The former (HPE) offers IT solutions for corporations, selling servers, storage, services, software, and the cloud-based OpenStack Helion platform. The latter (HP Inc.) focuses on consumer and small business devices – primarily computers and printers.
