In 'Habitat', players take on the role of conservationists and move around tiles (such as 'Leopard living in the forest') that depict animals and their habitats, using a jeep to collect tiles and place them in their natural parks. The tiles collected must be placed within their own parks.

The animals on the collected tiles require specific habitats, and each animal tile indicates the 'optimal adjacent terrain tiles' needed. For example, a rhinoceros tile requires two grassland tiles and two water tiles, while a lion tile needs three grassland tiles and one forest tile connected to it. There are also tiles with additional conditions, such as flowers, tourists, watchtowers, and others, making the placement relationships complex.

The game is played over three rounds, and points are scored based on achieving objectives each round and the final placement of tiles at the end of the game. The player with the highest score, representing the most environmentally conscious natural park, wins.

This tile placement game features simple rules but requires careful consideration of which tiles to take and how to place them.
