The Dead Daisies was formed in Australia in 2012 by former InXess vocalist John Stevens and former Red Fenix member David Lowy. In 2013, they released their debut album 'The Dead Daisies' and toured with members including Guns N' Roses' Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Frank Ferrer (drums), former Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus, and Marco Mendoza (bass) known from Blue Murder and Whitesnake. They opened for ZZ Top and Aerosmith during their Australian and New Zealand tours. The band continued touring into 2014, with lineup changes.
In 2015, with John Corabi replacing John Stevens and Bryan Tissy (White Snake, Slash's Snakepit) on drums, they released their second album 'Revolución.' They supported KISS on European tours and Whitesnake in the US and Europe, significantly increasing their recognition.
In 2016, Richard Fortus and Dizzy Reed left, and Doug Aldrich (former Whitesnake guitarist) joined. With a talented lineup including Corabi, Lowy, Mendoza, Tissy, and Aldrich, produced by Marty Frederiksen, they recorded their third album 'Make Some Noise.'
The band's sound, centered on John’s soulful vocals and Doug’s powerful guitar, is rooted in blues and rock 'n' roll, featuring groove-based performances and melodic vocal lines. Influences from AC/DC and Aerosmith are evident, making their music perfect for live performances. The album showcases the maturity and presence of veteran musicians.
