The previous Royal Blue Overdrive Custom's casing color was inspired by the Bluebird Overdrive, a discontinued product whose value has been re-evaluated in recent years. In this "Bluebird Mod," the midrange is slightly scooped and the bass is strengthened compared to the regular Royal Blue Overdrive, resulting in a thicker sound that maintains clarity and focus while preserving a warm tone, creating a sound that more clearly evokes the original Bluebird Overdrive.
