Cordovan is a very valuable leather that is painstakingly tanned using traditional methods over several months from the horse’s rump. Its extremely dense fibers give it durability and a beautiful luster. The interior uses kippu leather tanned in Japan. Combination tanning with tannin and chrome creates a tightly-fibered base that is resistant to wrinkles, and glazing is applied to the surface, followed by a natural antique finish using Italian chemicals. You can enjoy the increasing “flavor” as you use it.
