The "AI: The Somnium Files" series is a full-fledged mystery adventure game that was released in September 2019 (first installment) and June 2022 (second installment), and has received high praise from mystery game fans around the world. This game is a spin-off title that appeared on Nintendo Switch 2. In this installment, "Ken Date," the protagonist from the first game in the series, teams up once again with the eyeball-shaped AI "Aibow" to tackle a mysterious case in order to save "Iris Sagan," also known as "A-set," a net idol who has been forced to participate in a dangerous escape game. The scenario for this game is being handled by director Kazuya Yamada (Spike Chunsoft), with Kotaro Uchikoshi, who has worked on previous installments, serving as scenario supervisor. Character designer Yusuke Kozaki and sound designer Keisuke Ito will be the same team as in previous titles in the series.
