The game involves matching cards in the shape of dominoes with drawings of clocks showing different times on one side and the times written in words on the other.Game type (main game type): dominoDifficulty level: beginner A1 (can be used on A2)Age range: children from 7 years of age, teenagers, adultsNumber of suggested game variants: 7 (+2 with an additional die)One possible game scenario: The domino cards are shuffled and dealt to the players. The game starts with the player with the card with the twelve o'clock symbol on both sides. The remaining players add their cards one by one, ensuring that the time shown in the diagram matches the written time, or that each card added differs by an hour, half an hour, or fifteen minutes from the previous one. The first player to get rid of all their dominoes wins. The last player left with a card loses. The game can also function as a simple linguistic and educational puzzle for independent play.Language topics and objectives: learning Spanish vocabulary and expressions related to asking for the time and units of time measurement, as well as - in the case of children - learning to tell the time on a clock, learning to speak and listen in Spanish.The game is used: • in teaching Spanish in primary school (first modern foreign language in grades 2 to 8; second modern foreign language in grades 7 to 8; additional optional language in grades 2 to 8), • in upper secondary school (high school, technical school) in grades 1 and 2, • in language schools offering Spanish courses at levels A1 and above, • at home (playing with friends and family, social or private games Spanish lessons).Additional benefits: The game El dominó de las horas improves mental skills such as memory, concentration and perceptiveness, promotes effective memorization and teaches activity and healthy competition, and its playful nature helps in establishing social relationships with other participants of the game and has a positive effect on reducing the distance between the student and the teacher.Instructions - in addition to the instructions in Spanish, the game comes with instructions in Polish, which include: • methodological introduction for teachers, parents and the players themselves, • extensive game scenarios, • suggestions for educational games and exercises.Additional instructions in Polish are also convenient for people who do not know the foreign language well enough to familiarize themselves with the original, Spanish-language version of the instructions, as well as the possibility of independently conducting linguistic and educational games with children or peers.Additional dice: The game has been enriched with new gameplay variants thanks to the use of an additional dice that extends the educational scope of the game.The game was developed based on the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) - level A1.
