Why REM-Sen mattresses???It's the 21st century. Everything seems to be available on the market, but the number of products offered usually doesn't match their quality. The same is true for mattresses. To ensure a low final price, the components used in their production are usually of poor quality, from the Asian cover (often containing harmful substances) to the foam itself. Three things matter in foam: 1) density, 2) density, 3) density...!!! If the foam is light, with the same volume, it means only one thing. Instead of a dense, sufficiently firm structure, we have air! And let's not confuse this with the firmness of the mattress. A soft mattress can also be very dense, providing excellent resilience. There are foams with a hardness rating of H2, which weigh over 40 kg/m3! Foam is a bit like bread. Let's recall what bread looked like in our childhood (this doesn't apply to millennials ;), i.e., those born in the 21st century). Besides tasting different (much better), it was incredibly dense, and even when crushed while cutting, it quickly returned to its original shape. And today? Store-bought bread, often frozen, is inflated with air. A loaf of bread once weighed up to a kilogram. Today, a similar-looking loaf weighs less than half that, and when cut, we crush it, irreversibly damaging its structure. The same is true for polyurethane foam. Not only do many sellers overstate its performance (just weigh the mattress, calculate its weight according to the specifications, and compare the two values), but they also provide only a single rating, e.g., T25, T30. After all, every foam has two ratings. The first is density (weight in cubic meters), and the second is firmness (resilience in kilopascals). Those who provide only one rating often distort reality, and lightweight T2030 foam (with a weak structure that deforms easily and quickly) that is completely unsuitable for mattress production suddenly becomes T25 foam. Who among us would even think of weighing a purchased mattress? And that's exactly what dishonest sellers are counting on. After a year, the mattress we bought is only fit for the trash, our backs are hurting, and we think that's how it's supposed to be, and since we paid so little for it, there's no point complaining. A good mattress shouldn't cost as much as a pair of shoes. Remember, we spend a third of our lives in bed, and a mattress should last us about 10 years (though it should be replaced more often for hygiene reasons, such as dust mites, microbes, etc.).
