The SPD-SX features nine pads with excellent response speed and sensitivity. You can assign any sound to any pad.

Each pad's LED indicator makes it easy to check the pad's position and status even on a dark stage.

The SPD-SX has 16GB of built-in memory. It can sample up to approximately 25 hours in stereo (up to approximately 50 hours in mono) in 44.1kHz (16-bit) WAV/AIFF format.

The SPD-SX's multi-pad sampling function makes it easy to capture your own sounds. Music sources input via the AUDIO IN terminal or USB cable are sampled directly to the pads in real time. Furthermore, it's possible to re-sample performances with built-in effects applied.
