* Korean rice cake with chocolate * 💥 Delivery time The delivery time took just under 3 weeks. The packaging arrived undamaged.. 💥 Quality The product quality of the Lotte Myeongga Chaltteok Pie Injeolmi itself is okay. A package (180 g) contains 6 individually wrapped pieces that are neatly made. The best-before date was also perfect. The ingredients and nutritional values correspond to the information for this type of traditional Korean pastry.. Since I am always very open to new things, this purchase was a small culinary experiment for me. Consumption is very hygienic due to the individual portion packs.. The consistency is very special, however: On the outside there is a fine chocolate layer, but underneath it an extremely chewy, sticky rice cake mass (Tteok) with a nutty Injeolmi filling.. 💥 Conclusion Unfortunately, the experiment did not suit my personal taste at all. Both the very strange, chewy consistency and the flavor combination were an acquired taste for me and ultimately not my thing.. In Korea, but probably very popular... 🇰🇷 Those who like to experiment with exotic textures and Asian sweets can try it – for me, however, it was unfortunately a bad buy. From individual varieties like Chocolate, BP Choc, or Jeju citrus to mixed sets with 3, 6, or 9 packs.
Chocolate glaze + gooey caramel inside — the perfect combination. Not cloyingly sweet, the texture is awesome, the taste is balanced. Highly recommend. One of the best Korean pastries.
