FAQ :1. Can Protective Thermal Insulation Foil be installed by oneself? The film can definitely be installed by yourself. If 2 people approach the installation, it shouldn't cause much difficulty anymore. ( especially since we always include an installation kit and detailed instructions ).2. What are the types of solar control films and how do they work?External Foils - are foils for use on the outside and for every type of glazing including gas-filled windows. External - Their main task is to reflect sunlight even before it reaches the glass – this means that external solar control films significantly affect the heating of the room and are more effective than internal films. They work well both in summer (thanks to them, you can save on air conditioning rooms), as well as in winter, when they limit heat loss. Internal Films - a modern solution that works well both in summer and in winter. Sun rays are reflected, not let into the room, so the room is protected from heating and evenly lit.. We use the foil where external access is difficult and we do not have the possibility to install external foil.. We do not recommend internal films for installation on windows with gas, including roof windows.3. Is the film already covered with glue?Yes, one side of the film is covered with adhesive. Before assembly, separate the two layers and apply the side covered with adhesive to the glass.. The method of delaminating the film is described in the next question.4. How to easily delaminate foil? The window film consists of two layers; the proper layer and the protective layer. Delamination of the film often causes difficulties. To efficiently separate the foil layers, attach a adhesive tape from the set to the corner of the foil piece on both sides and use it to separate the foil layers.. (Attention, we only peel off the film just before assembly.)5. Can thermal insulation film be applied to any type of glazing? We can install the Thermal Insulation Sun Protection Film on any type of glass : single glazing, double glazing, triple glazing, with gas or roof windows. The foil is safe for all types of glass due to its external installation.6. Will the film be easy to remove after some time?Of course. When such a need arises or the film is no longer necessary, it can be removed by peeling it off. If the adhesive holds more strongly, heat it with a hairdryer using warm air, and then it will be easier to remove without any damage to the windows. Any remaining adhesive residue can be cleaned off with mineral spirits.
