A completely new entertainment ballet film!!≫ "Dancing Chaplin," a ballet choreographed by the French master choreographer Roland Petit for dancer Luigi Bonino, premiered in 1991, is based on the life of Charlie Chaplin. This masterpiece of Chaplin's ballet has been re-imagined, directed, and filmed for the movie by Masayuki Suo, director of "Shall We Dance?" and "I Just Didn't Do It." Tamiyo Kusakari, the director's wife and a retired ballerina in 2009, performs all seven roles, delivering a final dance that can be considered the culmination of her 36-year ballet career.

◇Act 1◇ "Approach": A 60-day behind-the-scenes record of director Suo's journey through Italy, Switzerland, and Japan in preparation for the film adaptation, featuring dancers from around the world, including Tamiyo Kusakari.

◇Act 2◇ "Ballet": A film adaptation of Petit's two-act, 20-scene stage work "Dancing Chaplin," condensed into one act and 13 scenes, re-directed, and filmed specifically for the film.
