Product Description
【SHM-CD】
Following the global resurgence of appreciation for Japanese fusion music, we present a new sequel to the highly acclaimed fusion compilation series "HORIZON DREAM," released between 1981 and 1983.
The label selection has been broadened significantly, expanding beyond the previously released Kitty Records masters to include Toshiba EMI, Polydor, and Philips (all from that era), whose sound sources are currently managed by Universal Music. The selection is flexible and curates from relevant crossover/fusion works.
The key point is that this is a contemporary compilation designed to appeal not only to older, real-time fusion fans, but also to listeners across nationalities and generations.
Information has also surfaced that several Japanese fusion disc guides will be published in 2026 (one of which will be spearheaded by the series' supervisor, Toshikazu Kanazawa). Along with this release, the three albums from the highly acclaimed Kitty Records fusion compilation series "HORIZON DREAM," released between 1981 and 1983, will be compiled into a 2-CD set and reissued on the same day in a form close to the original.
Furthermore, starting in June, as part of the "Light Mellow presents J-FUSION Renaissance" project, classic J-FUSION albums will be reissued on vinyl.
Overall Supervision: Toshikazu Kanazawa
