It shows the wrathful appearance of the Tathagata. It awakens the bodhi mind in practitioners, shuns evil, and cultivates good. It has the power to help practitioners attain great wisdom and attain Buddhahood. He enters the state of fire-birth samadhi, eliminating all sins, and is unwavering, hence the name immovable. He sits on a rocky seat in the form of a boy. His queue hangs over his left shoulder, and his left eye is slightly closed. He carries a flame on his back, a sharp sword in his right hand, and a lasso in his left hand, and cuts off the worldly desires of all living beings. The rituals contain esoteric Buddhist iconography, but many are freely created. His attendants include the children of Kongara and Seitaka. Kurikara Fudo is not a statue of a Myo-o, but is depicted as a sharp sword placed on a rock with the Kurikara Dragon King wrapped around it and about to swallow the sword. There are two types of rituals: the Fudo ritual, which is for praying for good health and increased profits, and the Anchin ritual, which is for praying for the peace and security of the nation.
