Honda's mid-engine sports car, the NSX, debuted in 1990. Its driver-focused design philosophy had a major impact on sports cars around the world. Originally released with a 3.0-liter engine, it attracted attention when used as a patrol car. Initially, the car underwent a minor change that expanded the engine's displacement to 3.2 liters, and the Type S was added as a performance-focused model. With a body weight reduction of approximately 45 kg compared to the standard car and suspension settings geared toward circuit racing, its character as an even higher-performance model attracted attention.

The NSX Type S is now available. It recreates the Monza Red finish that was previously available as a custom order. The rear hood is retractable.
