Recorded between 1967 and 1968, Elton John's long-lost debut album attracted much attention from fans when its demo recordings were included in the 2020 8-CD box set "Jewel Box," packed with unreleased material. Last year, Elton's elusive debut album, which attracted much attention when it was released as a limited edition mono LP, is finally being released in its entirety after more than half a century.

The booklet accompanying the 2020 8-CD box set "Jewel Box" revealed the contents of the album, but this is the full story of Elton John's long-lost debut album, which was never released. The album contains 12 tracks. This CD release includes both the final mono and stereo mixes prepared for the album, bringing the total to 24 tracks.
