This expansion adds a new mechanic: the ability to hire the strongest soldier in the known universe, Commander Sardaukar of the Emperor's forces, and the "Commander" who leads them.
When you hire a Commander, you can choose and acquire one of seven unit-specific traits.
Some traits provide support outside of combat, so choose the one that best suits your strategy.
Furthermore, a new commander representing the Ix faction makes their first appearance.
Also, a new mechanic, "Technology Modules" (an extension of the Ix expansion), is now available.
This expansion is designed to be compatible with both the Dune: Imperium Complete Japanese Edition and the Dune: Imperium Rebellion base sets.
