The world's first book version of the legendary American comic book version of Gamera is finally being released in Japanese! The main story is an alternate story depicting the exploits of Nagamine Mayumi and Kusanagi Asagi, the protagonists of the Heisei Gamera series, previously only told in comics. Showa-era monsters like Zigra Viras appear in the world of Heisei Gamera! This collector's edition, a world premiere, includes a special tribute comic, "Gamera: Last Hope," illustrated by Matt Frank, the monster king known for "Redman" and "Godzilla: Rulers of Earth."
