[Story] Barry Allen recently led a life as a CSI at the Central City Police Department. But the explosion of the particle accelerator at STAR Labs changed his life forever. After being struck by lightning, Barry was affected by dark matter, gaining the ability to move at super speed and becoming the "fastest man in the world." In Season Four, Barry was rescued from the Speed ​​Force by STAR Labs members Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, and Harrison Wells, and eventually married his childhood best friend, Iris West. However, it was the increased intelligence of metahumans that brought him back, and it was all part of an elaborate plot by the Thinker. The Thinker was creating new metahumans, including Ralph Dibny, and intending to harness their powers. When Barry realized that everyone on Earth was in danger, he tried to get inside the mind of the Thinker, the world's fastest thinker, to stop the final attack on Central City. To his surprise, a new and mysterious speedster appeared to help him. Now that Barry and Iris were finally enjoying married life, they were visited by speedster Nora West-Allen. Nora is their daughter, traveling from the future to seek help from her parents after making a terrible mistake. Meeting Nora turns Barry and Iris' lives upside down. Her arrival also sheds light on the legacy each member of Team Flash will leave behind for years to come. While Nora respects Barry and his accomplishments, she harbors a mysterious grudge against Iris. While searching for a way to send Nora back to her time, Team Flash discovers that her presence has altered the timeline, hastening the emergence of the Flash's most ruthless, violent, and brutal villain: Cicada.
