Tamiya's pinnacle RC series, the TRF 2-belt drive 4WD touring chassis, has been fully redesigned for the first time in two years.
New carbon fiber lower and upper decks move the motor position 22.7mm forward compared to the previous model, the TRF420X.
The center shaft has been positioned in the center of the chassis, and the drive belts are equal length front and rear. The front and rear pulleys also have a new design.
These changes reduce pitching during throttle operation for a more stable drive.
The front and rear bulkheads have also been reshaped to lower the center of gravity, and new USBB (Ultra Short Big Bore) dampers are mounted with aluminum stays. Spacers allow for precise angle adjustment.
The suspension uses high-rigidity A-arms both upper and lower.
The front and rear lower arms are the same, and their longer span makes roll posture during cornering more linear, improving stability when controlling the car.
With an optimized drivetrain, chassis flex, and a low center of gravity, the TRF421 chassis aims for even greater heights, so look forward to experiencing its performance.
