Description

Inheriting the design of the original G-SHOCK "DW-5000C," the 5000 series has continued to evolve in both functionality and materials. The GMW-BZ5000 features a new generative design approach, co-created by humans and AI, based on over 40 years of G-SHOCK shock-resistance data. While retaining the rectangular form inherited from the original G-SHOCK, the previous design, in which the bezel fully covers the center case, has been refined using new design techniques. A newly developed structure connects the bezel and center case from above and below. The complex, futuristic design visible from the case side emphasizes the beauty of the structure. An internal resin protector absorbs shock with elastic deformation, ensuring that the full metal construction meets G-SHOCK shock resistance standards. The stainless steel case features an airtight screw-back case. The digital display also features a high-resolution, wide-viewing-angle, and high-contrast MIP (Memory-in-Pixel) LCD. Compared to conventional LCDs, this offers greater detail and superior visibility, even in bright outdoor conditions or direct sunlight. A new MIP LCD was developed to enable solar-powered operation alone. The high-resolution full-dot display, which has memory within the pixels that make up the screen, allows you to switch between four basic time displays with the touch of a button. Additionally, by linking with the app, you can switch the main display to a classic 7-segment font. The time display screen layout retains the image of the original G-SHOCK, blending cutting-edge functionality with traditional style. In terms of functionality, the watch connects to the dedicated "CASIO WATCHES" app via Bluetooth® communication to obtain time information. It also comes with practical features such as Multiband 6 and Tough Solar. It is manufactured at Yamagata Casio, the mother factory that created the original G-SHOCK.
