Description

Based on the MTG-B2000, which combines a monocoque case made of carbon fiber reinforced resin with metal, this model also utilizes carbon fiber for the bezel to reduce weight. The carbon fiber bezel is made by laminating carbon fiber and glass fiber sheets and heat pressing them to create a plate-shaped base material, which is then machined into shape. The MTG-B2000YBD features a carbon fiber bezel frame on the side of the watch. Compared to stainless steel, the bezel frame is approximately 77% lighter. The top layer of the carbon fiber sheet on the bezel frame is reinforced by overlapping it around the sides at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, while the lugs are wrapped in a cylindrical carbon fiber sheet for added durability. The glass fiber layer is accented with G-SHOCK's brand color red. The interchangeable "Layer Composite Band" enhances the metal's texture while reducing weight. Functionality includes Bluetooth® connectivity to the dedicated "G-SHOCK Connected" app for time information. Multiband 6, Tough Solar, and a high-brightness LED light provide practical functionality.
