What is No-poo?
No-poo or No-shampoo means "without shampoo". No-poo enthusiasts want to protect their health and the environment. Even certified organic shampoos contain chemicals: chemical detergents, silicones, preservatives, colorants, perfumes... Our "shampoos", which aren't really shampoos at all because they're made exclusively from saponified oils, are no-poos.
In case of hard water :
To protect your health and the environment, our shampoos contain no EDTA or other chemical anti-scaling agents. On the other hand, they are best used in water with a low mineral content.
If your water is hard, it's highly recommended to buy this highly economical and ecological anti-scale device, which fits easily onto your shower head. Soft water with our shampoos makes for more effective washing. What's more, it allows you to use less shampoo, for a quality lather.
How to use:
1) Wet your hair.
2) Apply No-poo shampoo. Massage into scalp.
For the first few uses, you can dilute the shampoo: 1 spoonful of shampoo in 5 spoonfuls of water with low mineral content (if your tap water is hard, you can use iron water or Volvic or Cristalline).
3) Rinse thoroughly. Preferably with low-mineral water.
4) Finish with a vinegar rinse: 4 spoonfuls of vinegar (preferably cider) in a glass of water.
It's important to rinse hair thoroughly before rinsing with vinegar, as vinegar is acidic and can turn residual shampoo into oil, making hair greasy.
Hair needs time to adapt to organic products. As your hair is used to chemical shampoos, it may take 3 weeks or more of using 100% natural shampoo to really appreciate your shampoo.
For beautiful, supple hair, we recommend complementing this treatment with Alepia detangling conditioner. This silicone-free conditioner can also be used on its own to replace shampoo.
You can save money and replace the conditioner with a final rinse with vinegar (or lemon) water: 1 glass of water + 3 tablespoons vinegar (or lemon), then wipe hair directly (the vinegar smell disappears in a few minutes) or after a final rinse with tap water.
