Product Introduction
[Contents] The Barracuda debuted in 1964 as America's first compact specialty car. While 1960s American cars underwent repeated model changes almost every year to enhance performance, Hot Wheels' inspiration is the AAR 'Cuda, a racing homologation model of the third-generation Barracuda.
The AAR 'Cuda was developed primarily for the SCCA Trans-Am race, which was extremely popular in the United States at the time. It features front canards, a rear spoiler, a side-exit exhaust, and a tri-carb V8 engine with a displacement of 5.6 liters to more easily comply with regulations.
The Hot Wheels inspiration is the Barracuda that Dominic drove in the seventh "Fast & Furious" film, "Fast & Furious 7," customized with graphics reminiscent of the AAR 'Cuda driven by Letty. Features such as blacked-out exterior chrome parts and black wheels with red pinstripes faithfully replicate the real car.

While American cars in the 1960s underwent repeated model changes every year to improve performance, Hot Wheels' inspiration is the AAR 'Cuda, a racing homologation model based on the third-generation Barracuda. The AAR 'Cuda was developed with a focus on the SCCA Trans-Am races, which were extremely popular in the United States at the time. It features front canards, a rear spoiler, a side-exit exhaust, and a tri-carb V8 engine with a displacement of 5.6 liters to more easily comply with regulations. The Hot Wheels design is inspired by the Barracuda, Dominic's beloved car from the seventh "Fast & Furious" film, "Fast & Furious 7," customized with graphics reminiscent of the AAR 'Cuda driven primarily by Letty. The car closely resembles the real thing, with blacked-out exterior chrome parts and black wheels with red pinstripes.
