X PLUS presents a 1/8-scale plastic model kit of the "Maschinenmensch." This faithful reproduction of "Maria," the robotic human created by Walter Schulz-Mittendorf in the 1927 German silent film "Metropolis," directed by Fritz Lang (the film's enduring theme is "the heart must be the intermediary between the brain and the hand"). Created by scientist Rotwang, the gynoid resembles his former lover, Hel, and later served as the secret leader of the people, known as "Maria." This kit evokes the film's most iconic pose, paying homage to the work. The base also includes a chair, a key visual element in the scene, allowing you to recreate the key visual of the robot's activation (the chair features a secret engraving on the back). This Maschinenmensch is perhaps one of the first and most iconic robots ever depicted on film. This film, the first to be registered in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, has had a profound influence on feature films, television, and robotics technology. We present to you one of Rotwang's greatest creations. This product is an unpainted, unassembled kit that requires assembly and painting. Assembly and painting require additional adhesives, tools, paints, etc. Adhesives, tools, paints, etc. are not included.
