This plastic model kit is meticulously recreated based on the cover art for Vampirella comic book issue #19, "Super Special Issue," by José González.
With her seductive gaze and imposing pose, she is perhaps the most iconic and memorable character in Vampirella's oeuvre.
José González first designed Vampirella in 1969 and went on to create numerous designs for her.
The art featured in "Super Special Issue," on which this image is based, featured Carol De Haro as the model for Vampirella, who would go on to appear on covers and in comic strips throughout the 1970s.
The plastic model kit recreates every strand of hair, every subtle muscle movement, and even the vampire bat resting on Vampirella's outstretched hand in meticulous detail.
Additionally, a pile of skulls and bones is placed at the base of the base. Upon closer inspection, you'll see that these are not human skulls, but vampire skulls, each with its own fangs.
