Even with the 24-color set, the trays can be stacked and stored in the sleeve, allowing for compact storage. Furthermore, the paper sleeve is easily recyclable, making it a sustainable package. The inside of the sleeve is made from Colorful Wishes paper, which is made from a blend of paper cranes that were given as peace memorials to Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Okinawa. Approximately 1,000 paper cranes are given as peace memorials every year to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park alone, and this paper has been repurposed to evoke those feelings of peace.
