Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band. Indeed, they are one of the originators and pioneers of the death metal genre itself. Formed in 1988, their debut album, "Eaten Back to Life," released in 1990 on the prestigious Metal Blade label, was a shocking work in every respect. With their overly brutal music, emotionless vocals, and bizarrely grotesque lyrics, their arrival marked a whole new level of extreme metal brutality. For over 30 years since, Cannibal Corpse has continued on the path of death metal without ever straying from its original path. Without them, the current landscape of extreme metal would be completely different.

Cannibal Corpse is about to release their new album, "Chaos Horrific."
