Unlike most crawlers, the FMS Hummer H1 is an incredibly detailed RC crawler, featuring a full-scale chassis and drivetrain, as well as an elaborate interior with full door functionality. Two servos control high- and low-range gears and the transfer case, allowing rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The front and rear differentials also feature differential locks, each operated by a servo and lockable by remote control. Four metal driveshafts transfer power from the differentials to a reduction gear assembly commonly known as a "gantry axle." The HUMMER H1 also features a full metal gear set and 47 ball bearings. With the addition of rear-wheel steering, the H1 now has a total of four steering modes! The extra mode reduces the steering radius by 50%, making it ideal for maneuvering in tight spaces. The HUMMER H1 has the same front-mid engine layout as the real car. All doors can be opened, and the smart door locking mechanism is separate. The cabin also features a detailed dashboard and a moving steering wheel that rotates with the main steering. The roof is removable, and the windshield can be lowered forward. The Hummer's body is primarily made of aluminum alloy and fiberglass, and is fastened with rivets.
