This is a plastic model of the Doyusha "1/100 ANA Douglas DC-3 DAKOTA."
The Douglas DC-3 is a twin-engine propeller passenger aircraft developed by the American aircraft manufacturer Douglas Aircraft Company (now Boeing).
It was also used as a military transport aircraft and was known as the C-47 Skytrain.
After entering airline service in August 1936, it quickly became the best-selling passenger aircraft of its time. Beginning in 1939, it was mass-produced for the U.S. Army as a transport aircraft, with nearly 11,000 units ultimately produced.
It was also used in Japan after the war, serving as the main aircraft for All Nippon Airways, which was formed in 1958 by the merger of Japan Helicopter Transport (Nippon Helicopter Transport) and Far Eastern Airlines.
It was a key player in Japanese skies at the time and a key player in supporting All Nippon Airways in its early days.
