The Best of Galaxy Volume Five by William Morrison Paperback Book 9781483799926

Galaxy Science Fiction was published from 1950 to 1980.  It’s first editor was H.L. Gold, who turned the digest size magazine into the leading science fiction magazine of its time.   Bottom of the Hill Publishing has researched the old issues of Galaxy Science Fiction and this book, THE BEST OF GALAXY Volume Five features stories by a host of great authors.  H.L. Gold brought a “sophisticated intellectual subtlety” to the pages of Galaxy, aided by author Frederik Pohl.  When Gold’s health caused him to resign from the magazine, Frederik Pohl became the editor and continued Galaxy’s winning ways. THE BEST OF GALAXY Volume Five is one of many volumes, because there are simply too many great stories to confine the title to one effort.  This volume features stories by Lester Del Rey, Charles Dye, Edward W. Ludwig, William Morrison, Fritz Leiber and eight other equally talented authors. If you’re a new science fiction fan, or an old-timer reading the adventures of your youth, we believe THE BEST OF GALAXY Volume Five will deliver many hours of enjoyable reading.  Watch for additional volumes coming soon.
