ARIA The AVVENIRE [Blu-ray]

■An all-new animation produced to coincide with the release of the Blu-ray box set commemorating the 10th anniversary of the TV anime adaptation "ARIA" is a futuristic, healing comic by Kozue Amano, whose critically acclaimed "Amanchu!" is currently being serialized in Comic Blade. With a total of 4.2 million copies in print and 600,000 copies of related books in circulation, the series was adapted into an anime in 2005 as "ARIA The ANIMATION." It was followed by "The NATURAL" (2006), "The OVA ~ARIETTA~" (2007), and "The ORIGINATION" (2008), each of which captivated countless fans with its gentle world that retained the atmosphere of the original comic. Now, in the 10th year since "The ANIMATION," and in response to the expectations of countless fans, a brand new film has been produced, directed by Junichi Sato, written by Reiko Yoshida, and featuring a reunion of the original cast, depicting the aftermath of the story of "Harukanaru Ao no Ao." It drew many fans upon its release.

■ First recording in the same version as the theatrical release Originally, production began as a new bonus feature in each season's Blu-ray box set, but due to its high level of completion, the production team requested that viewers "enjoy watching it on the big screen and with the right sound in a theater," and so this is the first time it will be released in a limited-release format.

■Bonus disc includes footage of the reading session for the first time. Includes a newly illustrated sleeve case (limited quantity).
