As part of the winter design for our blue and white porcelain series, we have depicted winter flowers within a snow wheel pattern. Large and small snow wheels are arranged in a balanced manner to express the beauty of falling snow. Snow wheels symbolize bountiful harvests and longevity, camellias and nandinas ward off evil, pine, bamboo, and plums represent growth and perseverance, and daffodils represent good fortune and financial luck. Each of these auspicious motifs is incorporated into this piece, and we hope that good fortune will befall anyone who picks it up.
This is a Tokuoka fabric made in Japan using high-quality Chita cotton.
Like traditional tenugui towels, both ends are left uncut.
It can be enjoyed as interior décor by hanging it on a hanging rod or in a frame. It is also suitable as a kendo mask towel, as it is 100cm long.
