Wash the surface with mild detergent and hot water, then drain. 2. Heat the entire pan over low to medium heat, and once it's hot, add the oil. 3. Add the vegetable scraps and salt and fry over high heat for 15-25 minutes. 4. Once the vegetable scraps have turned dark brown, discard the contents. 5. Wash with hot water and a scrubbing brush (please note that using detergent may cause rust). 6. Once cooled, dry thoroughly over low heat.
