The center of the striking surface is hard, and the edge is slightly soft to prevent chipping. The wooden handle is made of real oak, and is not varnished to give it a good feel. The length is a generous length of 1 shaku (approximately 330 mm), and these days, many patterns are varnished, but this texture is valuable. In addition, if the wooden handle is damaged, it can be replaced, and the empty handle is also sold separately. The head size is approximately 225g, making it a convenient size even though it feels heavy.
