The Jagdtiger (German: Jagdtiger) is a German heavy tank destroyer developed and used in combat during the latter half of World War II. The chassis of the heavy tank Tiger II was extended, the turret was removed, a fighting compartment was built, and a 12.8cm gun was mounted. The system number is Sd.Kfz.186. In 1943, in the tank battle against the Soviet Union, there was a growing demand for a long-range gun, and the company began developing a self-propelled gun that could shoot at 3,000 meters.
