I purchased this CD at auction.
While there are no noticeable scratches or stains on either the CD or the jacket, as it is an old CD and has been stored at home by an amateur for a long time, the case is bound to show some scratches, and as a paper product, there is aging, dirt, and wear that comes with age. Please understand this before purchasing.
Maki Asakawa has released three albums, "DARKNESS," covering her works from her early days to the present. This first release is a dense two-disc set: Disc 1 features works from the 1960s and 1970s, while Disc 2 features jazz sessions from the 1980s with Toshinori Kondo, Toshiyuki Honda, Yosuke Yamashita, and Bobby Watson. It includes four tracks, including "Yoru ga Aketara," from her legendary debut album, "The World of Maki Asakawa," but it's worth noting that the sound effects by Shuji Terayama that were included on the original have been cut. Although "Sometimes..." isn't heard, the world expressed through his unique husky voice and singing style is pure blues, and gives the impression of a pioneering figure in Japanese alternative music.
Produced by Kinji Yoshino, this two-disc album has been digitally remastered.
