This series explores the traditions of Urasenke tea ceremony, compiling one volume for each successive head of the Urasenke Konnichian school, from Sen no Rikyu to the 14th head, Mugensai (Tantansai).
Volume 14 focuses on Mugensai, better known by his Buddhist name Tantansai.
His legacy of offering tea to numerous shrines and temples, and organizing the Tankokai to unite the various tea troupes across the country and unify the style, is remembered through his last words, favorite utensils, tea ceremonies, and sweets.
This volume also features a timeline and a family tree surrounding Mugensai, providing a multifaceted introduction to Mugensai Sekoso.
