This fantasy RPG unfolds with an original story based on Norse mythology. The story depicts the journey of a player who befriends dying souls in the earthly realm of Midgard, sends them to the realm of the gods, and then wins the Ragnarok War that is raging there. The gameplay involves searching for allies on a 3D map, exploring on a 2D side-scrolling map, and occasionally sending allies to the realm of the gods.

The combat is particularly distinctive. While combat is turn-based, pressing a button on the controller activates a semi-action-like system, with the assigned character attacking. However, simply mashing buttons can also land consecutive attacks on enemies. Of course, there's also depth in planning the sequence of attacks to maximize the number of hits.
